THRIVE Youth and Children’s Network is an indigenous Christian charity founded in 2016 by Julius and Doreen Ndhala to provide opportunities to young people in the 6 districts of Uganda;
Mukono, Bukomansimbi, Mityana, Luuka, Buyende and Mayuge who have been affected by HIV/AIDS to break the effects of this scourge and empower them to T.H.R.I.V.E.
Transformed- Strong Christian identity, self-worth and values. Healthy- A healthy lifestyle always. Responsible- Good decision making and accountable. Innovative- New solutions for life’s own and other young people’s challenges. Valiant- Courage to face life’s challenges with resolve. Empowered- Developed talent and skills.
We also support youth to safe guard against new HIV/AIDS and other Sexually Transmitted Infections through our collaborative program working with local churches and community based organisations under the guidance of local government authorities.
Our passion is to show compassion to young people who have been disadvantaged by HIV/AIDS and to work with them build a hopeful future.
VISION: A community of empowered young people released from HIV/AIDS scourge and thriving in Jesus' name.
OUR MISSION: To inspire and support young people affected by HIV/AIDS through a holistic empowerment model program that maximises their potential to thrive as leaders in their respective careers.
WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
To encourage a spiritual awakening within the HIV/AIDS affected community of young people, and to promote faith in Jesus Christ as a loving and a personal saviour through a loving Christian witness and scriptural literature.
To support young people affected by HIV/AIDS, their families and the local community to break barriers to a self-sustainable life.
To educate young people in communities by providing educational packages and personal testimony of young people living
with HIV/AIDS.
To provide opportunities for young people
affected with HIV/AIDS to maximise their desired dreams.
